So the last scene of the movie. Cap and Peggy are dancing in their house. The timeon the clock behind them is either like 8:20 or 5:40ish. It was hard to tell which hand was longer, but I looked it up and in Cap1, when hes about to crash and says I need a raincheck, she says Saturday 8 o clock dont be late. I know they didnt mean anything by it but in my official headcanon, every saturday at 8pm they dance together.
FitzSimmons are the fucking gold standard of MCU characters. Both actors are just unbelievably good too
Iain is so good in this role. But of course a lowly network show set in a superhero universe can't be considered for awards.
that's always been dumb to me. The Simmons on an alien planet episode, or "Self-Control" effortlessly match up to the best Marvel movies for me, maybe even surpass em. And D'Onofrio/Cox absolutely deserved recognition for their acting in Daredevil. people sleepin
Loved this even more on a rewatch. Also, can confirm Tony mutters "Hey Pep" at the end when she goes up to him.
Watched it again on Thursday. Nat saying "see you in a minute" and the moment you realise that it's her and Clint going to Vormir don't get any easier. I remember my heart dropping when I realised both of them were going and one of them would have to sacrifice themselves.
If this actually happened, I’m way more creeped out and upset by what that guy did than the first one who spoiled.
That’s pretty messed up. Not the spoilers, but the extent the guy went to mess with him. Kinda sick actually.
It's extreme but also like don't be an absolute asshole and spoil a movie like that for random people and you won't run into someone willing to go to those lengths lol
I've seen it twice now and I have one thing that's irking me, that I think I can justify but I'm not quite sure. The whole going to Vormir to retrieve the soul stone bugs me. I understand that's the only place to retrieve that particular stone but why isn't there a conversation about what needs to be done in order to get it? Nebula and, I'd assume most of the Avengers at that point, had known that Thanos killed Gamora and came back with the soul stone. I found it odd on both watches when Clint and Natasha are surprised at what Red Skull tells them must be done. There was that moment in the montage of brainstorming where Nebula says how Thanos killed her sister at Vormir and Scott Lang goes, "Not it." I'd think there'd be something more along the lines of, "hey, everyone, just so you know whoever goes to Vormir.. it's gonna be awkward." The only thing I can think to justify it is that Nebula didn't necessarily know HOW exactly Thanos got the stone. Maybe she just thought he had killed her cause she tried to keep it away from him and didn't know that he had to actually sacrifice the thing he loved. Anyone else think about this?
Yea I do really think Nebula just did not know how exactly that whole thing worked, just that Gamora was killed and Thanos had the stone. I can't imagine Nebula would in good conscience keep that info to herself while the plan was being hatched. Also because I don't think Nebula would ever guess that Thanos did indeed love Gamora
I thought I was missing something cause I hadn't seen that brought up anywhere but yeah, I definitely now think that was the case. That shot of Clint on his knees, looking down in defeat in the water after he sees he has the stone is so powerful and beautiful.
Both Nebula and Gamora see Thanos as a ruthless monster who cares only about his mission. I don't think it's unreasonable for Nebula to assume that Thanos got what he needed from Gamora and then killed her so she couldn't stop him.
I do mostly agree with that, but the only problem I have with it is that the interaction between Thanos, Nebula, and the Avengers on Titan at the end of Infinity War seemed to kind of imply that Nebula had a pretty decent grasp on what happened.
That's exactly the scene I was hinging on. BUT, like I said, she didn't necessarily know the specifics, that he actually traded a soul for a soul.
She definitely figures that Thanos killed Gamora, but nothing about that scene really said that she knew what exactly happened.
