I dunno, I’m sure they can find someone to play Wolverine. They’ve yet to disappoint me with a casting.
As great as Jackman's Wolverine was I actually think that's a role a lot of other actors could pull off really well.
Been trying to think of one. Closest I got is Natalie Portman, Flash Thompson which is a minor character, and Cumberbatch (but honestly my issue with him is mostly just the fact I wasnt a fan of the writing of his character) Edit: man going through the casting of this movie they really basically nailed everyone. You could make an argument for Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One was in poor taste for sure, but from an execution stand-point she was also my favorite part of that movie.
Natalie Portman didn’t film anything for this, that was footage shot for The Dark World. It cuts to a body double when Rocket sneaks up on her
I absolutely loved this. I’m sure there are plenty of flaws here and there but this hit all the right emotional beats for me. Might be too early to say, but I think this is now my favorite MCU movie. What an amazing accomplishment by everyone involved in making this and all the preceding films.
Yeah I had the same thought at the Marvel women shot. It was so awesome and got me so hyped up but I just knew that somehow, some way, a million people were going to have a problem with it/roll their eyes about it (I was right!).
literally my only problem with that women shot was that Nat and Maria Hill weren't included in it well, that and Cpt Marvel could have easily just like flown over the army that they assembled to back her up on, but like, that's a small movie magic detail I can forgive because the shot was fucking awesome
Yeah I was wondering where Maria Hill was during the battle as well. Was she even at Stark’s funeral? I don’t remember seeing her.
man, what a ride. absolutely loved this film. the 3 hour flow was great, the balance of drama and humor was great, so many moments of truly great acting, all the right fan service moments, just wow. can't wait to see this again and I'm sure dive in more in here. also, yeah, I definitely cried haha, i'll say it.
She got her appropriate due. The team held off for a minute on trying to resurrect half of all life in the universe, to mourn her loss together. And, during the endings, there's a moment when Clint & Wanda talk, where that loss is again acknowledged. I love Black Widow, & I'm critical of a lot of Marvel's decisions w/ women. (While the character usage choices here all make story & marketing sense, sidelining Carol while integrating Scott is, if nothing else, bad optics. Couldn't they have brought in Janet? Shuri?) But, I'm still pretty supportive of how Natasha was used here.
I'm pretty sure she was at Stark's funeral, yeah. and I believe you see her somewhere in the big battle for a couple of seconds, but she barely makes an impact. shame cos I always liked Cobie Smulders and wished she could have been better used in these movies.
Yeah I agree they really have underutilized her this far. Hopefully they involve her more in the future.
She was but Maria and Fury were both absent from the final battle which makes sense. They don’t have any experience to fight an army that size.
Is there any reason or explanation for Nebula of the past having the Nebula's conversations in the future stored in her mind? Is it just timey wimey stuff?
I wonder if Okoye mentioning an earthquake happening in the underwater coast near Africa is setting up Namor and Atlantis. From my understanding of comics it makes sense geographically and historically T’challa and Namor have been rivals to each other and even gone to war. Idk could just be a throwaway line but I’m personally a HUGE fan of Namor so I’ll take anything I can sink my teeth in
think it's mentioned that they have the same hardware in their heads, so future and past Nebulas would be sharing the same network. pretty thin explanation tbh
Shuri was shown with Wakanda tech on her arms. She definitely was able to - her appearance was almost Iron Man-esque with a Wakanda twist.
Well she had her two hand blaster things from Black Panther, she didn't have a full Iron Man-style suit. And Hill and Fury also use tech. I'm just saying that it's not crazy to think at least Hill should have been there fighting. I understand that Fury is a little old (70) to be doing stuff like that.
She has vibranium blasters instead of a regular gun and fought in the battle against Kilmonger. She is basically more of a warrior than Fury and Hill.
