This will pass 2billion by the end of the weekend and should end up only behind avatar and titanic world wide and end up in the top 10 for domestic gross most likely number 7 just behind Jurassic world
Yes, presenting one extreme end of the spectrum means that other people who don’t want to see big parts of a media form spoiled for them are wrong.
Like yeah, I prefer to know as little as possible about any movie going into it, whether it’s Star Wars or the new Kelly Reichardt, but this man was told the twists of Infinity War and, in his first viewing of Endgame, rather than sit back and take in the culmination of a franchise he cares about, prioritized taking pictures frantically of everything important that happened. That’s insane.
I didn’t say he was? I think that dude is an idiot. I just find it ridiculous for people to say “spoilers don’t matter” when for a lot of people it does
I think it’s symptomatic of what many misdiagnose as being the important aspects of film and narrative, but agree that yeah people should be chill and not infringe on each other’s experiences with a story. People not wanting a movie or show spoiled, more than fair. Rabidly and militantly policing it, as many harshly, aggressively, and unfairly do, is “spoiler culture” and that’s bad.
it’s not an extreme end of the spectrum. most people on this website and others complain about spoilers for things not much more benign than that.
Idk, it's kind of easy to stay out of a TV show thread on here until you're caught up, but if you're on social media at all before seeing Endgame, it's kind of your own fault you got it spoiled. That above example isn't even a spoiler, though, that person's definitely overreacting. At the same time, after you've seen it, don't be a jerk and go out of your way to ruin it for other people.
purposefully seek out spoilers. your life will be better for not working yourself into an aneurysm bc you find out a character smiles once.
Literally no one in this thread is on that level of the spectrum as some of the shit that’s being said but go off man
If someone actually did that then yeah it’s shitty, but, like most stories akin to that one on Reddit, it reads like a pile of bullshit to me. Another bored Redditor trying to impress his Reddit friends with a fake revenge tale rife with dialogue like “how could you do this to me? We’re such good friends!” Lol.
My favorite spoiler complaint was in the Love thread a couple years ago when someone said "poor Randy" and someone replied to stop posting spoilers lmao.
oh wow this thread got bad huh some people like spoilers others don't and of course there's gonna be extreme cases on either side, but in general let people do what they want why is it so hard to understand lol
Idk it’s pretty shitty to not give a shit about spoiling something like this movie to people who have waited years to see what happens, before it is even released. At this point it’s whatever cause it has been out for a week. I’m talking main spoilers though, not less important stuff like the clothes people are wearing or whatever.
