I was in full hater mode because of the singles and still gave the album a chance what more do you want lol
did you ever get one? i wasn't super into a7x anymore when i manically got like 13 tattoos 3 years ago lmfao
Nah I had phased out of them by the time I was 18 because I hated nightmare and they didn’t rope me back in until the stage
Interesting about hating Nightmare. There are some songs that I think drag, but overall I think it's at least on par with the self-titled.
nightmare's singles are the weakest parts but the highs of that son of a bitch make it easily my favorite of theirs
Can’t believe I have to listen to this band to hear Brooks drumming instead of my favorite band, Bad Religion. Game Over is just a punk song though haha, so far so good
Ok this is the first A7X album I’ve ever listened to all the way through and I liked more than I disliked. Gotta give them credit for some big swings and I really dug the almost disco GOD trio??
pretty unfair to say considering we’ll never get to know what the rev’s drumming would’ve sounded like when he reached his 40’s
like brooks is fucking sick but thinking about the revs drumming at the time of his death and what he could’ve achieved within 14 more years of drumming makes it hard for me to say brooks is better
Also..mike portnoy played on nightmare. Brooks and rev are both amazing but, he is in another tier. That being said, I’m really impressed with Brooks drumming on this record. So cool to hear him go off. I haven’t liked an avenged sevenfold album this consistently since waking the fallen!
Just listened through, I'm happy they made this album and how cool it is. However I don't think I care as much about actually listening to it. Not sure I'll really come back to it again, but who knows maybe it'll click more. Regardless of that, I do think it's an awesome album lol
Nightmare is probably a hair below self-titled for me but God Hates Us clears most of the songs on either of those albums.
