huh the first IMAX theater I ever went to was in OMSI and that was pretty big. I remember it curving up into a dome

but everything's big when you're 4

 

I think its because imax is both a format and a brand so now they can just say hey this meets certain requirements and slap the imax brand on it and charge premium format prices.

 

I believe OMSI still has the biggest screen in the area, but the giant curved screen you’re talking about was actually removed a long time ago and they sized down. Still very big though, only bummer is since it’s the science museum it’s mostly reserved for educational stuff (today’s showing are Elephants: Giants of the Desert and Oceans: Our Blue Planet) - stuff like Avatar is more of a special event

Maybe it's been discussed already but tickets now on sale! Just got mine for 715 on the 18th. Yea!!

I just saw the 2nd one again during it's re-release and it was great and got a small clip of this one.

 

I got an original Avatar promo shirt on eBay. Pumped.

 

I got tickets for two showings on Thursday. I might miss the beginning of the second one but it's IMAX citywalk

a-list, might as well
