ok i'm being a little shit but ~technically~ it is not true imax amc waterfront has a screen aspect ratio of 1.90:1 and uses a digital projector; real full imax is 1.43:1
I didn’t know the Liemax was a thing until moving to Oregon, where I discovered there is no true IMAX screen in the state. I’m not so petty about it that I simply wouldn’t go - the screens are still larger than average and the sound at one of them is louder than a fucking freight train. But it is definitely weird that they’re allowed to call them IMAX
i couldnt imagine caring about whether its 'true imax' or not. the screen is massive and im gonna have a great time watching the film and eating popcorn like tom cruise.
If I had a real imax screen that would be my go to. If not real imax then Dolby. That’s what I was saying!!!
I was asking if Dolby or imax would be worth going to a theater further away and not my neighborhood Cinemark XD and it appears not.
I'm actually going to see this on the smallest screen possible with shitty speakers so they look like little blue dots
Mashing the center button every time someone says Jake Sully to let the movie know I know which character that is even though they’re all blue
