Fire lady should be the main villain next time. Make spider’s dad plug his hair into a tree already, learn to love pandora, and sacrifice himself. Then promote her to the big bad. Also kill spider.
Spider-man Spider-man Doin whatever a Na'vi can Surfer dude Bastard son Eywa's gonna make him the Chosen One Oh yeah, here comes the Spider-man
Also we need standardized ad times across theaters. The theater I went to usually has about 25 mins of ads and trailers before it actually starts. I got there 15 mins after the and ended up missing the first few minutes. I don’t mind less ads, but give me a heads up.
For real though, I like trailers but if I can avoid the section where they just show car ads I absolutely will.
It also varies by location I guess as the AMC near me goes right from move trailers to AMC commercials then the movie and I went to an AMC in another state and it had actual commercials in between the move trailers.
AMC is pretty much always 25 minutes to half an hour of ads or trailers. My popcorn is gone before Nicole Kidman welcomes us.
Blockbuster opening night showtimes for AMC IMAX i've clocked to be a full 30 minutes once Nicole shows up. If I ran a theater, 15 minutes max.
the AMC 25 min. timeframe is usually pretty exact. i am always strolling in just as the Kidman ad begins to roll. I do not need to be bothered with previews.
Finally caught this last night, was a dud for me. A complete rehash of the last one with virtually no new stakes or characters to root for. For a world that once felt wild and vast, Pandora suddenly feels so small. Also I'm shocked to see nobody in this thread has mentioned this, but the frame rate looked *abysmal* in my 2D presentation. Any scene with action or fast movement looked like motion smoothing turned up to 100% and completely took me out of it. Looks like this is due to the constant and intentional switching between 24 and 48 fps (which I learned was also employed in TWOW, though I didn't notice it in that one). This is one of the best-looking movies ruined by a horrible presentation I've ever seen.
