new song is so good.

i tried really hard to get one of those vinyl copies but it was not to be.

i hope there is a new album coming. love everything these guys have done

 

They hinted at it to me on insta so I feel good that one is coming

I was lucky enough to be one of the 12 people to get a lathe-cut during the original sale. One of my favorite things in my collection.

Oh cool I completely forgot about this band until I saw the thread bumped

they’re doing a grand opening for their store (niiice things) and having a mini festival through the weekend, one of Trevor’s acts is playing each night. Defo (solo hip hop) tonight, Fuss (screamo/metalcore with Cam) tomorrow, and Author on Monday.

 

Rounding out a great year of new Author tunes with this banger! The replay value on most of these singles has been huge for me. This one feels the same so far.

Happy 10 years to Of Brighter Days. The time, it flies. Cameron says on instagram there will be a 10 year show at some point this year. Hard not to assume it’d be in MN, but would consider traveling for a west coast date

 

I would love to get a re-press I can actually listen to because I will never touch my original.

 

i want a genuine pressing this go-around. even if it's limited. i love my lathe-cut copy, but obviously would prefer one that's pressed (and in an actual jacket instead of a J-card wrapped around the record in a resealable poly bag).

 

I'd love a re-press as well. Also a new album...they released so many singles, throw them together onto something and take my money!

 

Yeah this is basically what I meant. I'm never going to play my lathe-cut. Give me a 12-inch please!

 

the sound quality on it isn't half bad, but obviously a true pressing would be a lot better. at one point i thought about creating a custom jacket and DM'd the band on IG to see if they still had any photos/PSDs of the CD digipak for inspiration, and they said they'd look but never got back to me. oh well. might explore another avenue.

 

I’ve only spun my lathe cut a couple of times. It’s definitely noisier than I’d be stoked about with any other vinyl, but I see it as more of a collector’s item anyway. Would love an actual pressing of it but I’m highly doubtful it’ll ever happen without outside intervention from a distributor
