It is sad! Curtis Lepore does like comedy videos I think. I just know he went on trial for rape, yet still had a fairly big following from my understanding. My nephew is a good kid at least, so I have some hope haha.

 

I was gonna say how much it sucks that YouTube stars and lesser known musicians get away with so much bs. They can be so known in their scene but the general population has no idea and they can go unchecked for a while. But then big name celebs also go unchecked because of their power. It is awful that people with big platforms could do so much good, but they so often use it to abuse and exploit others.

 

Yeah not in the least bit ironic that while this pos just got charged on child porn two years after the community was already aware of allegations made, there's still people a thread over defending PWR BTTM cause legal charges haven't been filed. I guess we have to wait another two years or until the minimum number of teenage girls are exploited before everyone will universally accept this behavior as a bad thing?? Smdh

It was the statement given to Alt Press after the Austin Jones YouTube stuff. I copy and pasted from their article. No mention of FPS in it. That came later I believe.

there's so much shittiness involved on his end, but i think the thing that makes me the most angry (and i hesitate to even put all of this on any "levels," but...) is reading the transcripts and seeing him not only abuse the victim, but the influence he KNOWS he has over her.

guy is manipulative and abusive on so many levels. he knew exactly what he was doing. absolutely indefensible in any way, shape, or form.

 

Possession is bad enough. Selling/File Trading should put him away for even longer. I know that people in jail hate these people more than anyone else. Also, I don't think he's a celebrity enough to get away from general population.

 

I mean, I'm sure he'll be invited back next year with Kevin Lyman's full blessing after he completes "therapy" or whatever

 

This is why Kevin needs to be better at vetting who Warped books. Literally any whiff of inappropriate behavior, especially minors, should be enough to keep them off Warped. Rumor or no, why is he so dead set on giving these dudes a chance and placing his young audience in danger? It blows my mind that someone so out of touch and so dangerously cavalier about implying women/girls are lying and exaggerating is in charge of the biggest tour of the summer. It kills me to be condescended to by this man over and over while the men he defends get outed for worse and worse behavior.

 

It's even more baffling because I'd say he just doesn't give a shit and that it's all about profit, but how much can Austin Jones or FPS even be bringing in? There is no business reason to defend them. Kevin is just as bad as them in my eyes for his complicity.

 

The transcripts making the rounds online are disgusting. This guy deserves to go away.

 

Bloomingdale is about 10 minutes from where I grew up. Unreal. I hadn't even heard of this guy. Very sickening.

 

I faintly remember him not being able to go on Warped but most of these YouTubers just blend together for me. It's a world that I don't understand and from the looks of some of these people, I don't want to understand.

Curtis Lepore was a part of the Syracuse straight edge hardcore scene before he made it big on vine. Fuck him too for what he's been able to get away with.

update, apparently he was released to his mom's custody on $100,000 bond. home confinement and he's not allowed to be on any social media. anxious to see what happens when he's sentenced. from what i've read, they're trying to move quickly and prosecutors aren't looking to make any deals or go easy.

 

You gotta be fucking kidding me. This is disgusting. Fuck this guy.
