Just listening to Life Imitating Life tonight for the first time and years and quite enjoyed it.

Forgot how much I like Ash and Ember. The whole album has such a cohesive vibe too.

 

Dan's voice is so goddamn soothing.

 

Didn't know this, but Augustana (which I'm assuming is just Dan now?) released a live album on digital streaming services. It's really cool though, because it's just Dan and a piano and the production sounds crisp. I recommend it.

 

Dan put out a solo piano album out recently under the Augustana name. It's quite pretty, not something I think I'll return to super often just because I prefer music with vocals, but others might love it, so in case you missed it:

 

Cool to see a version of Easy Lessons finally get a proper release. Pretty sure I saw them play that live before the self-titled album came out.

I saw Dan (under the Augustana moniker) back in March and I don't recall him mentioning anything about new music! His solo piano work is really lovely live.

 

Hell yeah, so excited for another full length
