That actually made me laugh out loud. I think it's hysterical they think they're going to be able to hold people's attention until December 7th for a watered down lineup of a nostalgia band.
Yeah, I was cautiously interested at first as someone who does have nostalgia for them... but the fact that it's only 2 classic members, the single being so far out, and that teaser honestly sounding pretty mediocre killed my interest tbh
I cannot imagine what the tactical advantage of announcing a comeback and teasing a single 6 weeks before it releases could be.
Wait the announcement was for a teaser for the full song? Big yikes. Wasn't even that hyped to begin with.
Not only is it just two classic members, but zero of those classic members are vocalists. I would love to hear some fun sounding metalcore though, and those first two AA! records were super fun. If these guys can bring some cheese back I’d be ok with that.
Song is honestly super mediocre. I'd be all for this direction if it was done more interestingly, and ideally with Caleb and Johnny as part of the lineup... but as it is I don't see myself coming back to it. There's aspects of it I enjoy, but a song like this NEEDS a huge chorus... and this one is pretty weak.
This whole thing screams 'the bands we started after Attack Attack didn't work out so let's just put the Attack Attack name back there so we reach more fans using their Facebook page'
It's kind of weird that they're trying to go for that neo futuristic vibe with all the art and merch and drop it right when Cyberpunk 2077 drops, it half feels like they wanted to try to get on that soundtrack lmao. Obviously Cyberpunk doesn't own that aesthetic and it's probably just a coincidence but it's funny to me, like I really thought for a second like "wait did Cyberpunk get fuckin ATTACK ATTACK on their soundtrack?!"
I think that the song is pretty fine, but feels more hard rock than metalcore to me. Probably won’t listen to it very often, but I also don’t listen to old Attack Attack very often anymore.
