Ever wonder what atreyu tastes like? Wonder no more! https://atreyu.threechordbourbon.com/Klaviyo&_kx=SVFF78MU6OihF16GQ2-l9t76QHFuJ3YCEEC0Vn5_bWQ.VUEAHe
imo the curse is already a perfect album, even the studio bassist killed it on his parts. but yeah, i was surprised about the re-record. the tour i get it but re-records are always a skip for me.
Yeah, you’re not kidding. I didn’t even know it came out. I got about a minute in before turning it off. Why does it sound all static-y and shitty?
My goodness, listening to the original and the rerecord back to back and it is laughable how bad the new one is. How, why.
I've been thinking about this and since it's confirmed Alex still gets royalties from the new recordings, I assume that this is about ownership since The Curse is by far their most known album. It's what a lot of bands have been doing to regain control of their work. I can understand the intent.
Well that's all well and good if the re-record sounds like the original and people listen to that instead, but I think it'll have the opposite effect. I haven't listened to Atreyu in years and after listening to the re-record of Bleeding Mascara I'm listening to all of the original version, haha.
It’s definitely not great, but I feel horrible for the band. They are getting eviscerated in the YouTube comments.
I think it matters more for licensing purposes but I don’t know the ins and outs and I could be way off base anyway.
Genuinely don't know why they would feel the need to rerecord this when they have to process Brandon's vocals on the choruses as much as they do, should really have been the main clue to not do this. Not having Alex is just salt in the wound of it.
They have posted this all over their socials.. I don't know if it's a tease for new era of the band or they have effectively split up!
