All the seasons have been great, I just enjoy this show more when it’s the core cast going through the surreal adventures instead of newbies, which means I’ve been absolutely loving this final season
I can understand not liking the episodes without the main cast (I personally enjoyed them) but everything else in S3 was just as good as the old stuff.
New episode was beautiful. Gorgeous cinematography, really naturalistic dialogue as opposed to the tightly scripted feel of the rest of the series, and Earn's speech was incredibly well written and acted. I'm not convinced they're going to live happily ever after (I'm not convinced Van shares Earn's feelings) but just in a vacuum this was a rare feel-good episode for me, especially when Lottie smiled when she saw her parents getting along at the end
This episode was totally my shit. The level this season has been on kinda makes me disappointed in what S3 could have been (and I'm sure the quality of S3 will be an eternal debate whenever this show gets talked about years from now...)
am I right in thinking they write all eps to be “viewable” as capsule episodes? Like, a viewer could just watch one ep & get through it fine enough without having all the back story of previous eps or seasons. if so, it’s just another thing that makes this special show more special
I don't think as much for the first two seasons but the third and fourth ones I can definitely see this
only just saw Snipe Hunt. beautiful stuff, really brought back the emotion I felt was slightly lacking this season. the tent scene was so fucking good also I could've sworn this season was meant to be 8 episodes (that was the original announcement I'm sure?), very happy to see that there's two more coming than I thought
Great episode. I definitely thought this was the last one. That would have been such a bold move to end it on an anthology. I’m glad there’s still two more though.
This episode was a fucking choice lmao but I was highly entertained for the whole thing "Los Angeles" in the Disney font over footage of the Rodney King riots got me good
