You're a single mother who can't feed her daughter. You have a formerly incarcerated light skinned love interest and a dark skinned baby daddy. You have a gun toting Christian grandmother. And you threw grits at me unprovoked. Face it Vanessa, you're a Kirkwood Chocolate woman.
hot take i guess but i didn't enjoy 5 really. felt a bit broad for atlanta always here for some Little Simz tho
Just got caught up with the last two eps. Great season so far. While I didn’t love the bits with Don as Mr. Chocolate the grits one got me. Also laughed pretty hard the previous episode when the mom says she’s gonna steal him. Then a few minutes later has Earn get out and takes off lol.
Donald as Mr. Chocolate didn't work quiiiiiite as well as Teddy Perkins however, still a fun episode and l like Van's journey through to the end with speaking with Lottie
fantastic episode, one of the funniest so far. Al spilling Hennessy on the soundboard had me absolutely weak that being said, hard not to feel like this is in some ways a regression from s3? that one was up and down for me, but it was an incredibly bold move that really felt like the next iteration of the show, and s4 so far could have come right after 1 and not felt out of place. gonna be interesting to see if the final 2 episodes (!!!) are this back-to-basics
I actually love how this season has leaned so hard back into the comedy, I was dying this whole episode. The premise in itself was fucking wild I think it's cool that for the last two seasons one of them leaned hard into the surreal aspect of the show and the other leaned hard back into the comedic roots
Everyone at the mall having guns was hilarious and the fact that it wasn’t even the killer, just someone who still hated Al from high school.
