same actor in the exact same outfit who leads his dialogue this episode with "I think we're in the same boat Marshall". it's not a reach lmao

 

This season has been hitting so far. Most recent ep is an all-timer.

 

man, when this episode really washes over me...

 

They're really just firing on all cylinders this season, fantastic stuff. I love that they're comfortable to just do whatever they want with standalone episodes and no main cast, but it still has everything that makes it Atlanta.

 

While I love the characters on this show and am really interested in seeing what happens to them, I do love that Donald is basically just sneaking original short films into the series. I can't think of another show where I genuinely have no clue what the next episode will be at all like this one

 

Yea I thought it was supposed to be the same white guy in both eps too & just assumed so without checking. Such a good touch. Wonder if he’ll pop up in others

I mean the season has leaned in multiple times with “ghost” stories. I think he’s meant to appear specter like within the story. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see him again.

 

Same here. Especially with terms like “haunted” being used in his last monologue in the last ep

also I know Van is alive but I'm still getting worried

 

Love when the show leans into the comedy, I laughed out loud at several lines in this episode, like Darius being the devastated cop and Socks almost saying the n word

I kind of predicted that Socks had the phone when he was being so overly aggressive about the interrogation but I was still a little surprised to see I was actually right. I really wonder what his motive is, and I honestly wouldn't even be surprised if the show didn't follow up on it. I hope it does though
Basically I think this was in a way an episode about the parasocial relationship between fans and artists? At least certain elements like Wiley's speech and him knowing all of those things about Paper Boi

 

The kid playing the song and Paper Boi's ever so slight reactions to it was some damn good acting

 

Great ep last night. Favorite of the season so far.

man that last monologue from Paperboi to Wiley was so moving. incredible acting on both their parts

fucking hate Socks with a passion, I really hope he doesn't stick around. their reactions to the white Liam Neeson line were terrific tho

 

also man what the hell happened to Clark County

I caught up with the first 4 episodes last night and man, that first episode is something that I feel like will stick with me for a long, long time.

Also, just seeing the Ryan Gosling news for the first time, that would have been WILD. My guess is he would have either been the dude on the boat/hotel, or Justin's 4th episode feature? Or socks, haha.
