all the girls being into bb Earn makes a lot of sense and great use of Passin' Me By and If I Ruled The World
Fuck that ending was sad Really good though. A lot of topics in this episode were kind of covered in Gambino's early work like Camp and Culdesac so it was cool to see it make it into the show as well Great casting for Earn and Al too
I thought this was the finale, glad there's one more. Not feeling the kid stuff as much, predictable ending too. "you're pretty smart Earn" after he sees a chloroplast feels like real basic writing for this show.
My cable box reset Thursday night so I just watched ATL on DVR and it cut off at the 30 minute mark, when the teacher walks in and tells the students what happened to the other kid. Anything happen after that? Also, the kid who played Earn had same exact mannerisms.
Yeah, there was a scene with Earn, his mom, and aunt basically saying how Al and Earn need to watch out for each other. Also about how important first impressions are when you're black in America.
Hope that's the case here. Yeah, giving myself more than two seconds to think about it, this could just be a false alarm haha
Darius being nonchalant about having an expired passport the day of a flight while playing chess with himself and then taking only a backpack with him for a 2 month trip was perfect, also I feel like he would have somehow got on the plane with the expired passport also Lottie lives and the ending with Tracy was great
I was waiting the entire episode for something awful to happen, but the last thing I was expecting was that it would end on a relatively happy note, with both the relationship between Earn and Van and with Alfred. Loved this episode and season, really hope we don't have to wait two years for the next one. Not gonna lie though I probably liked the first season more
While I did enjoy some of the one-off character episodes this season, I wish we would have had more time with Earn and the entire group. So just by that alone, I'd probably say Season 1 was better overall but Season 2 may have had some better individual episodes.
I'm glad all the relationships ended on a positive note. Al mumbling under his breath "That's what the fuck I'm talking 'bout." was actually kind of heartwarming ha.
