The main emotional center didn't really connect with me, it felt kind of blunt, and really contrasted with the more intricate layered nuance details that made me really love the episode. Felt more like traditional TV than I would have liked, which is weird because everything around that interaction felt so different from traditional TV. Also that gun is definitely going off later in the season, and we're definitely getting some backstory about Earn's mom and uncle Willie. They probably set up more stuff in this episode that I didn't even notice, but will be real obvious after the whole season is done.
Incredible episode could have done without the hella sad child abuse commercials though, fucking FXNOW
did the Gambino song from the Justin Bieber episode of season 5 ever get released and I didn't notice it?
Nah there's a rip of it on Soundcloud (or at least there was) but that's the only place it ever officially was played
Wow, how was I not in this thread? Love this show, gives me a Twin Peaksy vibe. I just wish each episode was longer.
Could this show be any better? I think not. Al’s reaction to the (perfectly executed) lame acoustic YouTube cover of his song was priceless.
I'm so glad Donald/the writers hate white people playing rap songs on acoustic guitar as much as I do Side note, I just put $450 on my card this morning getting tickets to the Gambino tour lol
It’s cool that they payed off that pit bull puppy plot from last season. Not cool that Earn basically threw it all away
