Filming order is very often not airing order, but that's not a bad thing. If FX aired them differently from how it was envisioned to air, then that's a bummer
It's like what happened with Firefly. FX wants it canceled! I don't think the ordering really matters too much with this show, though. But I do wonder what the intended order was, if it was indeed aired out of order.
I just want to point out that production codes all match the episode airing order, I really don't think anything was aired out of order
My bad if that's false info. The podcast I was refrrring to was the episode of The Watch last week with FX president of original programming Nick Grad as a guest. He definitely said something at one point about an episode being written/read for in a different order than it was aired. But he probably just meant that they were written in a different order and that order changed at some point, not that they actually aired in a different order than intended.
It could also just be that he wrote them all at different times, then when it came to actually make the show he put them in order. I dunno, many options
I would think FX would know better than air them out of their intended order, but who knows. Again, that was a phenomenal season so it's not a big deal, it just made it seem like they weren't entirely sure how they wanted to present the show
I just rewatched the first episode, it's kind of weird how they made a point to say that Earn never told anyone why he dropped out of Princeton and then never address it again. Also does anyone know what Earn was listening to on the bus when the weird Nutella sandwhich guy shows up? It's really hard to hear, but it kind of sounds like it might be new Gambino
I introduced Atlanta to my friends with B.A.N, with the precaution that none of the other eps were like that. They watched the entire season haha The "that's him officer" bit is probably one of my favorite comedy moments of the year
I definitely didn't enjoy B.A.N as most people in here, preferred the tone/visuals of the rest of the season much more tbh.
While I think B.A.N. was the funniest of the bunch, I definitely think its a middle of the road episode compared to the rest.
ban is one of my least favorite episodes of the series, but it has one of the best gags (the price is on the can though)
