Hilarious episode, the swisher seat commercial, and the Arizona tea one had me dying. "The price is on the can" and yes that was definitely the Eric Andre show's Will Be Right Back music.
I'm seeing more and more what Donald meant when he said it was his version of Louie, having freedom for the show to be whatever he wants each week, having two weeks in a row without Donald even showing up really, etc
This episode was fantastic, but I kind of wish they rearranged the order of the episodes or something. It feels weird to go 5 pretty standard (and pretty great) episodes, then two in a row where most of the main cast is hardly (or not at all) in it. Also there was a genuine commercial where Steven Hawking was promoting Jaguar (the car) and I seriously thought it was part of the show
This show is so great, episodes are still too short. Was the ad with the guy who had "answers" the same guy who tries to get Earne to bite his sandwich in episode 1?
Just saw a commercial for next week's episode that just had Darius, so maybe we'll be getting a Darius-focused episode!
i thought the van episode was one of the best of the season. thought the scene of two long time frenemies was written perfectly. all of the performances were natural. episode 7 was a different level. i felt like i was watching an alt universe of parks and rec meshed with Adult Swim with and i loved it.
One of the funniest 30 minutes of television I've seen this year. Was a little nervous with the Caitlyn Jenner bit at the beginning being exactly what South Park did, but as usual, it developed onto a very interesting dialogue. Every commercial was hilarious, especially the Sweets one where they cut the tobacco out haha
I lost it so bad when Paper Boi busted out his phone to take a pic of the transracial dude on air. This show is gold. Story hasn't come together yet from what I can tell, but the through-line so far is that you never feel like "alright, I've watched enough of this for now", the creative execution of every scene so far is perfect. If anyone wants some entertainment while waiting for next Tuesday I recommend reading/revisiting the Pitchfork review of Camp BTW. If you can make it past the first paragraph without laughing or shaking your head you win the internet.
I really like how the commercials are done for this show where it makes me want to go check it out. I've been watching a lot of Fox Sports 1 and the commercials for Atlanta are tight.
Hahaha omg the Swisher Sweets commercial and the Arizona Iced Tea. Fucking speaks so hard to the everyday smoker I was in stitches.
I absolutely loved last week's episode, but I mean, they already make cigars with the tobacco cut out. That's a legit product.
I guess it is. Just seemed like the other commercials were more like "truth in advertising" whereas that one was already true. I dunno...
