I finally got caught up on this show after watching the premiere and forgetting about it, but it's so good! There's just something about it that makes it feel so real, I'm very excited to see where they go next.
Easily the funniest of the series so far. That transracial bit could have easily been a Derrick Comedy video
While I was very excited for the rest of the storyline that the first episodes were laying out, I'm liking the variety that this show has picked up. I'm exceptionally happy to see his silliness really come out in this episode and I can't wait to see how the rest of the season turns out. I do hope they eventually go back to the original style though but I feel like I'll be happy either way.
Loved this ep. So many great bits. Lost it at the Mickey's ad. That Coconut Crunchos ad was something. "What IPAs do you have on tap?" "Most people don't realize their chakra is in another universe. Don't be dumb. Call now."
I never realized that I wanted a Donald Glover sketch show until now. This is basically what that was
That episode was really good, but what made it amazing, and really made me go "wow," was in between the show commercials, every single "regular" commercial on FX starred white people, it was a stark stark obvious difference
I don't know if it was just the music the main show was using that did it, but I just couldn't stop comparing it to The Eric Andre Show. Just zany ridiculousness and I loved every bit of it.
Definitely agree with this. I want to know what happened with the original storyline, but I think this is really cool that it's jumping around and doing these kind of "one-off" episodes or character-centric episodes rather than just forcing the continuation of the main storyline. Last night's was probably my favorite episode so far.
