How was the reunion received? I know the album was polarizing but how about the attendance at live shows, were they selling out? Were people into it?
I heard attendance was slowing down towards the end. For the first year or so they were selling out shows near instantly. I went to the Cleveland show in 2017 and I don't believe it sold out. They put on a great show but they also seem to be a band where if you're not into them, you're probably going to hate them live even more lmao
I interpret Cedric's quote, and their thankful post on the band's social media channels this morning as more of a "taking some time off in the wake of extensive touring to evaluate things" sentiment, and not necessarily them breaking up again. Maybe they'll decide to do so, but to me it sounds like they want to take some time to process where they are. I enjoyed the newer releases for what whey were, but it's definitely not the same.
I don't have an RSD pressing but mine also sounds great. Strange that the nu metal production serves the album so well
Album was supposedly recorded entirely. Cedric said a couple weeks ago on Twitter that they were just waiting for a good time to release it
