First two songs rip. I hope when they start making music as TMV again that it's as strong as this is so far
Torrentially Cutshaw is my favorite after one listen, there's some good songs on here for sure, can't wait to get to know it more and hear some better quality!
it's even more groovier and dancier than before. there are some Antemasque, Engine Down (seriously Kelsey is a perfect fit), and even The Mars Volta influences everywhere, in addition to their usual sound. second half contains some of the best stuff they did in their entire career. i love how the record gets more aggressive as it goes on, besides that soft second to last song. damn i want to put it on repeat, and it's not even a good quality rip yet
haha it's funny that a lot of us kind of shit on the singles but people are loving the album. for me, i lost interest when i listened to a couple of the singles. but now i guess i should listen to the whole thing? maybe it all works better in context.
First listen was in the car through a shitty aux cable after a long day. I think the shitty rip combined with the shitty aux cable combined with my ability to barely stay awake was not an ideal first listen for this album, because listening to it on my speakers now I'm having the entirely opposite reaction. This album kills. I realize we'll never get anything like Vaya ever again, but this is more than good enough. edit: Just grabbed a 320. Excited to truly listen to it.
CD rip is out there. Probably the strongest album Omar and Cedric have been a part of since like Amputechture or Frances.
