Finally coming back around to this album. Didn't think much of it when it came out, but its kinda great.

I'm 100% on board with new Sparta. Cut Your Ribbon is one of my favorite songs ever.

 

A second album from Anywhere is coming!

wheres that 2nd album from Antemasque?

 

That's been well over a year.

 

November 2015 was the Antemasque show I went to where they played the majority of the new album live with Travis Barker and said it was already done and recorded.

So......

 

2015?!? I can't believe it's been that long.

 

the videos of those new songs are awesome as hell. Mothership sounds like a jam.

 

ive come to like this record a lot recently. i’m as shocked as you are.

I should go back to it. I did way too much about it at the time, only to let it sit on the shelf afterwards

 

I jammed it on the treadmill yesterday and it’s a banger. Don’t understand any of the hate it got at all.

 

apparently jim announced the new sparta album too? wacky

 

First song was pretty....meh?

 

I remember being very disappointed, BUT I love the ep that followed this.

 

Diamante is dope. Was really looking forward to what they might have done after that but it seems unlikely we ever hear anything

 

at some point, they said they planned on alternating between mars volta, and ATDI album cycles. but who knows how long it will take/if we are gonna get that mars volta album.

also, "governed by contagions" is my favorite song by ATDI. interalia was great!

 

This record wasn't that bad

Glassjaw did the "first album in 15+ years" thing better though

 

Saw the thread bump and listened to that Antemasque album for the first time in forever. Still some cool stuff on there.

 

I really enjoyed it when it dropped but I never return to it these days. Would still love for them to drop the 2nd one though.

 

Glassjaw did an album that was actually worth it.

 

I couldn't get into the album when it came out...I'll give another chance soon...

 

spun RoC today though... this is good but i think a lot of my initial meh feelings were due to it not really following up/holding up the legacy of what is, imo, a top 20 album ever
