Okay but this actually IS a really good idea!!!
As a young single woman I literally always know I’m being taken asvantage of in those situations so I’ve over corrected and now I’m a cynical disbelieving harsh asshole. I need a layer of protection as well as someone who knows the business/what they’re talking about!

 

Buying a car isn't too stressful if you do all your research before you go in and have all the numbers at hand. If you go in just looking around that's when they'll try and get you and play tricks with the numbers to get more money. If you're buying, go to a bank or credit union and get approved there then 2/3 of the numbers are already set and you just have to get a set sale price on the vehicle.

If you're leasing it's a little different but still the same, just requires different numbers to use.

My dad was a car salesman for a while so he's helped me out on what to do. Also, it's generally their managers, not the salespeople themselves that are the assholes.

 

My fiance works at a dealership (He's a mechanic) so I got fucking hooked uppppppp with my current vehicle.

 

These people do exist. You pay them a few hundred dollars and tell them what you want and how much and they'll do all the negotiating for you. My dad's friend does this.
