Like, it's between BP and MI6 for blockbuster of the year, and only Spider-Verse seems poised to even be on a close enough level with them

 

I was underwhelmed by Incredibles 2 honestly but I feel like that had more to do with my own expectations being too high.

 

Real excited to check out Searching when I get a chance. Halloween this month too

Incredibles 2 was pretty underwhelming

 

Also I was never huge on the original, it's decent but not top tier Pixar

 

I2 is mid-tier (sorry to use that term again) Pixar, and the best animated movie this year until 12/14/18

 

the only movie that matters comes out Friday

 

I dunno. Black Panther did very little for me. It had a solid villain which was easily its strongest asset, but we're talking about a summer action blockbuster here and the action was very lackluster and the 3rd act was pretty yawn worthy imo.

Incredibles 2 was fine. I enjoyed it but don't have much desire to return to it. Jack jack was funny.

MI6 takes the cake for me when it comes to best blockbuster

 

Honestly, Upgrade was a pretty solid action movie. It's unfortunate that it took itself to seriously and tried to have this emotional core cause that's definitely where it failed the hardest, but all the scenes that are batshit insane are so fun

I hate that I missed M:I, got so busy and I didn’t see it.

 

I enjoyed it overall. What are your thoughts on the ending

 

why are people besides Jenny Slate and Michelle Williams in Venom

 

Never got to see Ghost Prototcol in theaters, if that's any consolation

 

I like it. I appreciate that it was willing to go there haha. Kinda of a Twilight Zone/Black Mirror ending

 

Well, hey. Venom doesn't have Dice Clay in it

 

I'm excited for that Bad Times at the Royale or whatever it's called

 

I feel the same way. Also left the theater wishing LMG was a Chris Pratt level megastar

It just looks fun. I'm not expecting much more than that

 

A Star Is Born, in all seriousness, is decent. Has some flaws that could be forgiven by how good Bradley Cooper and Gaga are together

 

I'll try to at least Moviepass it. Yeah, still doing that

 

Oh, and A Simple Favor! I gotta see that at least once more

 

Oh and Old Man and the Gun. A Ghost Story was my favorite of 2017 until Phantom Thread came out so I will follow whatever Lowery does now

 

I like how Gaga stans are trying really hard to make people go see ASIB over Venom, it’s 2009 all over again, baby!
