I was hoping that movie would be good, very excite

It's mid-tier (if now lower mid-tier) A24, that's a good place to be

 

I honestly will give anything they put out a chance, I’ve yet to be truly disappointed by an A24 film.

it just sucks that A24 has definitely been more thirsty for prestige/awards so they dump anything that doesn't meet their standards or they don't think will do well
but they still put out a lot of good stuff

 

Speaking of A24, Eighth Grade is still the best movie of the year

 

Eighth Grade is amazing, don't know if it's better than First Reformed or Hereditary (because I still haven't seen either of those yet. Whoops!)

 

I need to rewatch Hereditary and Annihilation

Blindspotting is also great

 

Hereditary is in my top five for the year

Annihilation is probably #1 for me

Everyone should('ve) see(n) Blindspotting. It's damn near flawless cinema

 

Also, The Tale. Laura Dern should be president

 

I need to rewatch Annihilation, I liked it but I kept nitpicking it when I saw it. Won’t You Be My Neighbor straight up made me cry, kid these days need Mr. Rodgers more than ever.

 

Regardless, it's over for these bitch movies once Beale Street drops

 

8th Grade is really good. It's a little uninteresting on the visual spectrum and that kinda brings it down a notch for me. There's a certain meticulousness about Hereditary that I really appreciate. I haven't seen anything really that I'm head over heels in love with. I have yet to see First Reformed though. My most anticipated atm is Suspiria

 

I just hope Susperia lives up to the original, which a true horror classic in every way.

 

Honestly Revenge is pretty high for me right now too
