Honestly just reminded me to get a dining room rug in case anythin' inedible is cooked in my kitchen. They're great for that kinda thing.

 

My grandparents also, I think, have pretty thick and strong Long Island accents and my grandpa instead of saying “nice” says “oh beeauuutifulll” like in the most old person ny accent. I can’t.

“Did yous guys have a nice flight”
“yeah grandpa we did”
“oh bbeeeaaaaauuuutifulll”

 

Damn that's exactly what my Italian grandma sounds like. She lived in NY for a while. New york, that is.

 

It’s so funny all old people from New York talk in a similar way not just accent but like the tone in their voice. it makes me laugh.

 

Yeah it's like the dynamics in their voices too, haha "Oh these chicken cutlets are BeeeEEEAAUUuuutiifulllll"
