Some people have that underdog/contrarian complex. If they find a theory, even the most far-fetched one, that makes sense to them and fits their point of view, they'll defend it to death. You can't reason with them.

 

Well non-surprisingly these people are huge 9/11 truthers too. I saw a guy who had a an avatar with the word conspiracy theorist crossed out and it said underneath REALIST.

I wonder what the average political stance of a flat earther is. I'm guessing libertarian. Vaguely anti-authority but completely ineffectual

 

Yeah and like, regardless of whether the earth is flat or round, it doesn’t change anything

 

I think my favorite thing about flat earthers is that their trump card is literally, “there’s no way to know for sure.”
