It’s crazy. Like, I remember being a little kid in the 90’s and seeing Star Wars and while I didn’t quite understand time, I knew that 1977 was foreverrrrrrr ago. But the time between now and LOTR being made and me being a little kid and Star Wars being made is like the same and that seems so fucked up for some reason

i didn't even put that together but man, that's fucking wild. i have distinct memories of seeing the special edition in theaters in 1997, insane thinking that the original release of star wars was as far out then as fellowship is (almost) now.

 

I've been doing a deep dive on Star Wars canon material the past couple months. Read two of the novels, a couple graphic novels, rewatched TLJ, watched Rebels season one. Just this morning I started a middle grade Leia novella
