Forgot they released an album last year, now I'm gonna see if the library has it

Give it a whirl if/when you can. It's certainly their most "rock" album to date, and their first in over a decade and a half where I like to love every song, even though it's only about nine tracks long

but I know the song is about rich famous people complaining about nonsense, not a problem with celebs in general

I have nothing against Good Charlotte in general but pop punk as a whole has just aged so poorly for me, only exceptions are Green Day and Avril but they aren't really pop punk and some Green Day has aged super poorly (why does he say the f word in American Idiot and Holiday and the r word in Jesus of Suburbia)

 

Are they complaining about their wealth/fame? Madden brothers seem to always be the most humble, down-to-earth dudes ever. Nearly everyone who's interacted w/ them have great things to say

I always took it as they beating on celebrity culture when they eventually became celebrities. Perhaps I didn’t see the song for it actually was and that’s honestly on me then.
