Morning everyone! Went to the gym today for the first time in awhile so realizing how out of shape I am feels bad

Mhm mom posted a really embarasskng and cringey Fox News clip on fb and I had to give her a lecture about how disappointing she is
But she is so disappointing!!! I told her falling down the Fox News rabbit hole makes me lose respect for her and makes it impossible to look up to her anymore as a source of right and wrong.

Also the clip itself is so beyond frustrating and cringey. Like a grown ass man who’s profession is being a shitter on television bullying a college student and grilling her about questions that are so obviously out of her realm of involvement, and most cringe of all being shared with one of those really lame black caption boxes that says “COLLEGE STUDENT GETS RUDE AWAKENING!” and I just can’t y’all

 

Think I’ve seen that one it’s like a viral kinda thing but yeah it’s frustrating. Reminds me I saw this at the gym I was like ummmmmmmmmmmm ok maybe there’s something I’m missing but I was like da hell is this

Not sure if I made it clear but I've already seen 2049 in theaters (and in general) multiple times. Anyway, it was phenom, as expected. Glad I pounced on seeing it again, because god knows how long until I get that chance one more time.

Also have a chance at catching the Final Cut at the same theater a few weeks later

Sounds like my mom it's so frustrating!!

My mom was slowly becoming this hateful person that I didn't recognize for years and after the 2016 election I realized she had just completely become a different person. Like she loved all my queer friends and excepted me as a queer but then also was voting in such a harmful way and she didn't see the harm in it and I basically didn't talk to her for awhile. Now we hardly talk at all because she's always so negative. Really depressing to witness.

 

I'm laughing but I also want to cry because so many people believe this shit. It's insane. Also why is Fox News like the staple gym channel?? Basically any Retro Fitness around where I live plays it, and then I shade every person watching it on the treadmill.

 

Planet Fitness has like 20 TVs all set to different channels so there's Fox News but there's also CNN right next to it. But I don't think the news should be on at the gym at all

 

Old people tend to be the ones who watch Fox News at the gym in my experience, guess they gotta get worked up somehow to walk on a treadmill.

I agree, I wish they wouldn't show the news at all.

 

They shouldn't show unhealthy cooking shows either amirite

 

Or they gotta sit around in whitey tighties in the lounge area of the locker room and watch it that way too
