As Tall As Lions was an indie rock band formed in Long Island, New York. The band consisted of vocalist/guitarist Dan Nigro, multi-instrumentalists Sean Fitzgerald and Brian Fortune, and drummer/percussionist Cliff Sarcona. The band was active for 9 years and released 3 EPs and 3 full-length albums.

Got inspired by @cshadows2887 mentioning self-titled last night and then @CoffeeEyes17 discovering them finally. This band was so, so important to me. The self-titled is definitely my favorite, but I think Lafcadio and You Can't Take It With You are much better than they get/got credit for.

You gotta listen to the whole body of work Ken! Lafcadio is I guess their "rock album". And You Can't Take It With You gets a bit more experimental and jazzier. They were all fantastic musicians. You can't miss out on songs like "Acrobat", "If I'm Not Out Burning", "Lost My Mind", and "In Case Of Rapture"

Will do. S/T has been more than enough though. Reminds me of Death Cab

I would love for You Can't Take It with You to really click with me someday and stop being a (relatively minor) disappointment. But at least I'll always have those first two to adore.

Yeah, ST rules. Love the tone of that album, especially the last track.

@schlotty 3am actually sounds like the perfect time of day for it.

You Can't Take it With You has 3 of the best tracks back to back to back starting with the opening track, of any band from the scene Ive ever heard. Just those 3 songs are better than all of s/t imo

Self-titled is easily one of the best albums ever recorded. Thing re-floors me front to back every single time I listen to it. Ugh. They're like if Reign of Kindo (a band I also love) knew how to more accurately balance their technical prowess and pop sensibilities. ATAL is a total anomaly, I love their entire discography pretty much, and I hate that I never knew they were a thing until after they broke up.

Self-titled was the soundtrack of my autumn last year.

For me, that album always started with Maybe I'm Just Tired. The fact that I didn't have to look up the name of the song is testament to it's greatness - I am not good with titles.

  15. S/T is a masterpiece

They should play some more reunion shows. Something like a reunion tour or something of that nature and maybe release a reunion album and then repeat that cycle. Seriously one of my favorite bands, both self titled and You Can't Take It With You are both perfect.
