Man I really can't stand tj's vocals

 

can't imagine having haste the day dude on vocals. Blehhhh

 

It says HtD guy is filling in on bass and vox. Left me with the impression he'd be doing more of a backing vox thing... not lead

 

Ah ok. And he has quite a good 'clean' vocals voice so I guess that makes more sense.

 

I haven't listened to the much Haste The Day stuff, but from what I've heard, I didn't think there were any "clean vocals" coming from that band.

 

Listen to Attack of the Wolf King. You will not be disappointed.

 

Is anyone else just kind of...sick of this band reuniting? They used to be one of my all-time favorites, but after the two half-hearted singles they put out and a dozen reunion shows/tours I just have trouble getting into them any more. Drove 6 hours to see them play SILYAYD stuff at one of the Underoath "last tour" dates and left feeling really disappointed, all the songs felt sloppy and way slower than intended. Maybe it was an off night? Who knows.

 

I have no right to say their "half hearted" but I personally didn't like the singles.

 

That's fair, probably poorly worded on my part, but it just didn't feel "all there." Just missed a sense of creativity and energy that their other work was always full of.

 

Yeah I can definitely agree with this.

 

There definitely have been cleans throughout Haste the Day. Also, the dude used to have a side project where he sang.

 

This band is for real very dope. Listened to all three albums on each of the past three days. I really love Hell or High Water. "Made Too Pretty" is a fucking song.

 

I know I'm in the minority here, but Come Now Sleep is by far my least favorite As Cities Burn release.

 

I think this group got better with every release for sure.

 

Yeah all my friends who were into ACB were all huge games of Come Now Sleep. I was the only one who absolutely loved Hell Or High Water. I consider them 1A and 1B, and it just depends on the day which I like more.

 

They aren't together anymore right??

 

Sort of, I think it's mostly just Cody and Aaron.

Yeah, Aaron runs their social media, I think. He can be pretty abrasive from what I've seen, verging on "asshole" territory at times. I've followed his personal account for a while now, and he seems to get weirdly aggressive sometimes.

 

im super confused.. did he just delete their official twitter and change it to a personal one to announce their break up and promote his email list?

Well, okay. When it comes to writing a book on the band, I'm not sure how reliable a narrator this dude would be.
