Anyways, I don't like the song as much as "84 Sleepdog" or "Prince of Planet Earth" (which I'm apparently in the minority on), but it's a'ight. Good to hear Cody & TJ again. The instruments don't give me that ACB vibe 'til about 2/3 of the way through, but it doesn't sound bad. Do we know for sure that there's a full length album on the way? If so, I'm looking forward to hearing it and reliving late high school.
That's not what I'm saying tho. Could be a one off single after signing and the next release on the same label won't have this song on it. That's possible.
The new single made me want to jam Hell or High Water since that's what it most reminds me of... that album still holds up!
This. I feel like I’ve grown out of most aggressive vocals in general. TJ’s parts feel like they’re there because they have to be (because of his vocal style) rather than they’re there to suit the song
So excited. New song is a jam and I loved both Goldmine/Prince of Planet Earth so I am ready for whatever the boys have to offer.
Yeah, I remember Craig even making a tweet about it saying he loves ACB. I think it was all based on the fact that he was on the cover of AP
Unfortunately not into this. Just feels like a regression after the last two albums. TJ being there makes the song much worse IMO.
The more I think about it, the more I wish it was just Cody on vocals. I mean, I like this song, but Come Now Sleep and Hell or High Water are incredibly special albums and that's in part due to Cody's vocals and guitar work.
The singing part is Cody. The screaming is TJ who is now back in the band. I'm saying that I wish it was just Cody on the vocals without TJ's screaming as I think they are more distinctive and compelling. I do like the song, but Come Now Sleep and Hell Or High Water are just incredible albums.
I'm torn on this, CNS is one of my all time favorite albums and HOHW was a great album to end on. I'm curious if this album will be a progression of CNS/HOWH or will be the SILYAYD pt 2 they never got to make (or a mix of all those?) I agree that I prefer Cody's vocals and I'd rather see a CNS/HOHW type album but just the fact they are releasing new music again is enough for me
