I have supposedly been at two As Cities Burn shows that were their “last ever” now. Wish this tour was closer.

 

I swear Cody just gets bored every couple of years lmao

 

this will be the first time most of these songs have been played live, no? feel like all of their shows since this was released were all albums shows for the first two albums.

 

Whatever happened to his new band? That final ACB FF performance also being their first was such a weird vibe.

 

No idea. I’m curious who will be playing with him since I’m assuming Stephen will be busy with new Haste The Day and no TJ needed outside of Sheepdog.

 

i’m out of the loop on the BadChristian dudes, but is Lunsford no longer involved with them? i figured he was the connection that got this going.

 

I think everyone is out of the loop (not just you!) as they barely do their current podcast these days. It's usually Matt, Devin and Toby on Songs & Stories Podcast when they do post something.

I assume they're still friends with Lunsford though. I imagine that Lunsford and Cody have found a way to work together again? Or they might be using a different drummer? Who knows!

 

Feel like I need a roadmap outlining how we got from badchristian to where we are now

 

When Hawkboy was a thing they played a bit off of HOHW. I saw Hawkboy open for Emery in 2011 and they played some HOHW songs. I don’t remember what songs though. Maybe it’s on setlist.fm but I doubt it.

 

Dang, looks like SILYAYD turned 20 over the last week. Gonna jam it today.

 

I saw ACB on the Emery tour over the weekend, I never thought I'd get to see HOHW songs live. I was surprised Aaron was on drums with all the previous band drama but he and Cody sounded great. I got Cody to sign my copies of CNS and HOWH but didn't get a chance to ask about any future plans. It seems like this was just a one off run of shows which at this point I'll take.

 

No way they’re doing anything other than a few shows without TJ. I’m actually somewhat surprised Cody and Aaron did some HoHW shows.

 

Super jealous. Love that they got themselves together for this little run. I have been enjoying the fan videos of their performances they’ve been reposting to their Instagram stories. I think I made out Matt Carter was playing with them?

 

Yeah Matt was playing with them when I saw them last weekend.

I don’t know if it been like this all tour but they/Cody did not sound good at my show. Was really disappointed especially since the rest of the bands sounded great.

Also annoyed that they played the album out of order because I think it has great sequencing.

 

The Emery guys also backed up Matt McDonald for The Classic Crime set. I know last year they also played with Aaron Gillespie for The Almost set. Pretty impressive how often they pull double duty on their tours.

I thought ACB sounded great but a second guitarist would have helped fill out the sound especially when Cody did his lead lines

 

Can the Emery singers take Marty's spot in Anberlin while they're at it
