It took a few listens but I definitely love this album. They did a great job of blending the styles of the previous albums
Just picked it up on vinyl at Furnace Fest this weekend. Hollowed Out and Maybe are a killer one-two punch
Ahh, I feel like they’ve done this a million times now. Particularly when they’re sitting on three other albums which are all incredible!
they did a short career set the night before on the Emery pre-show that I didn’t go to. this play through felt very special compared to the SILYAYD ten year tour. you could tell they were absolutely shocked by the fan reception/engagement.
I don’t know why they always get surprised. They’re forever ‘never playing again’ and then getting surprised when people love them playing! Such a funny situation. Glad it was a great show for everyone including them.
The show the night before, where they played a bit of everything, Venture was the only track from this album.
I honestly do not know. I’d heard stuff from it—more than I even knew, I realize now—but I never sat down through the whole thing
It’s in my all time top 5 at this point. Incredible album. I think all four albums are brilliant to be honest.
It’s one of my favorites of all time for sure. Every song is so good, but an outstanding opener and closer make it a masterpiece
And beside the songs all being so good, it’s one of my favorites because at the time I got into it I had recently lost a friend to suicide and was deconstructing my Christian faith so the lyrics and anguished tone of the album spoke directly to that.
