Some of my favorite parts of the S,ILY.. songs are the exchanges between guitarists so that would bum me out a bit for sure.
I realized after listening to ACB's discography a bunch...Hell or High Water might be my "least favorite" ACB album and SILY is probably my favorite. I had it completely switched before this roll-out. It might switch back. I don't know another band whose entire discography has changed on me like that. Either way, assuming the new album transcends the honeymoon stage, all four albums are so incredibly close to each other. I love how much I love this band again.
New podcast episode with Cody talking about the new record and reunion. Pretty interesting stuff and Cody pretty much said that Hunter wrote a majority of the guitar parts since he was much more focused on vocals. He also confirmed Stephen Keech quit after recording the record cause he had a kid and didn’t want to tour. Cody also wants to do more ACB records which is awesome to hear! weird that Cody didn’t write a lot of the guitars. that’s been the biggest through-line of their discography.
Also kinda explains a lot in terms of the guitarwork on this album. And I don’t even necessarily mean that in a negative way but it’s definitely different
MADE TOO PRETTY! Nice. TJ will probably come after this medley. They did this at the Santa Cruz show I went to but they also opened with Live Convinced and did this once they were mid-set and TJ just hopped off stage for it.
