Aaron has stated that he’ll never play that song live, which is a big bummer, but totally understandable.
There’s like no one at this show, I should have gone to one of the LA shows. Guess I’ll have to make up for it and go nuts
I feel like I lucked out in that the 3 times i've seen them, they weren't headliners. The Underoath farewell tour couldn't be topped for me at this point, seeing my favorite album from them in its entirety (minus Widow and I think Incomplete) and them having a sold out venue that seemed actually either familiar with the album, or was just going nuts because of the amazing performance they put on. I wanna dig up the videos from this show actually.
I was pretty bummed I missed them on that run. But I saw them on their SILYAYD tour and it was a pretty full house. Regardless of attendance, it was still a lot of fun and they were clearly giving it their all which I respect a lot. It was weird only having Cody on guitar though. Anyone know if they’ve been going as a 4 piece this whole tour or was the second guitarist missing for some reason?? If it was the latter, then I’ve been having bad luck with shows this year. Circa Survive, no drummer. Copeland, no second guitarist. And now this maybe?
It really was. Union Transfer was a great place to see it. I'll even go as far as to say I think I enjoyed the openers as much as I did Underoath that night. Underoath really blew me away though when Aaron returned and they played TOCS/DTGL back to back. I caught that in NY and it was something else.
Ya the turn out for this west coast run of dates unfortunately hasn’t been great. First time I saw them was on the SILYAYD run in Anaheim and the HOB venue wasn’t even like 1/8th full, I was honestly surprised it wasn’t canceled or downsized. This time it was at Chain and it wasn’t even 1/4 full and it’s a tiny venue. I was surprised the turnout was so light.
So I borrowed my girlfriend's mini coop and drove out to Santa Cruz last minute last night to check this tour out since the SF show for tomorrow was canceled. The turn out was pretty lame, to be honest, but both ACB and All Get Out still gave high energy and sounded great! I ended up buying shirts from both bands to show support and brought my Scream Through The Walls vinyl for ACB to sign which they were all mega chill with. They were also stoked that I trekked out to see them. Also, I brought my OG pressing of 2011's The Season on Orange Marble and that made Nathan from All Get Out stoked as hell. He inspected the vinyl and had the other dudes in the band come check it out since It's pretty rare. He was reluctant to sign it only because of that so he asked like 3 times if I was sure I wanted him to before he signed it. Told him how much the record means to me and that I have no intention of flipping it ever. Super nice guy! The upside to going to a low turnout show
Reminds me when I had to watch The Chariot without a bassist.. that was not.. great at all Details: was on the Dallas stop during the Haste The Day farewell tour. their bassist was getting married. It sounded horrible :(
Yeah, Cody was definitely able to hold his own but it was just sorta bizarre cause I know they have a second guitarist who has been pretty active on IG
He had to drop out of this tour for the first leg of it due to personal matters - he will be back on the road soon enough!
