Incredible. The whole thing is amazing and inspiring. Here’s hoping for a safe return.

One thing I’ve been wondering about is the regular impact of meteors or comets whatever the right term is. During one of the broadcasts, the astronauts mentioned that they had witnessed a few in just a span of a few hours. I wonder what that means for the development of a lunar base. If the moon is always subject to these impacts, how do we protect infrastructure?

Anyways, humans rock and fuck war.

Awe inspiring. We can achieve so much as a race and instead we prioritise destroying ourselves rather than bettering ourselves. It’s been incredible to watch this, and I look forward to what it brings in the future. Growing up, the moon landings were relatively recent history so they always had that majesty. The fact in such a short space of time we’re up there snapping such awesome pics on our phones…. Insane. Safe journey home to Artemis II.

Just downright cool stuff. These new pictures really illustrate, to me at this period of my life, how supermassive planets and moons are, while being stuck in this infinite dark closet of space, the galaxy, universe, etc. It really does blow the mind to grasp the enormity of it all, and then to realize it’s essentially nothing on the grande scale. It really puts things in to perspective.

I also get an almost uncanny valley feeling from it. I think that internal, natural feeling is what happens when the big bad human race runs in to something orders of magnitude stronger, more powerful, etc then it. Nature is so local and ever-present that it doesn’t hit as hard, but when you go to an unknown landscape (space) suddenly that shock and awe of nature’s power becomes a bit more mystifying.

But hey, they say we’re all descended from the stars anyway. We’ve just been off to college on this planet for so long, lol.
