Some people told me that season one got better in that regard too. I just wasn't really interested in the show after that episode, or the one where the guy crushed someone's skull with a bowling ball. It felt like they were having an insanely violent superhero show just because they finally had a platform where they could do that. I enjoyed other elements of the show, but that was a massive turn off for me.

Yeah the car door scene is hands down the most gruesome one I can recall out of both seasons. Obviously with Punisher, you'll get a ton of shooting, but I think we all know that's expected hah.

Yeah, the car door scene just kept going and going too. I actually don't think I watched any episodes after that one.

I definitely suggest finishing season one at some point. And I think we've completely derailed this Arrow thread now haha. Oh well.

The Fisk flashback episode was pretty intense, if I recall. Nothing turned me off, though. I liked the action and the religious aspect a lot, and also loved Fisk and Ben Urich's performances. Liked Jessica Jones more for how it handled its heavy themes, though. Only 2/3 of the way through Daredevil S2 for some reason.

I too am still only 2/3 of the way through season two. For the longest time (about a month and a half) I had left off on episode seven. Then I finally decided to sit down and go through it again so I watched episode eight. That was two weeks ago.

I do want to finish it. I mean, it's been a year plus, so I'd probably have to restart or at least read detailed synopses or something. But I watch all my TV with my wife, who definitely has a lower tolerance for violence than I do, and she pretty much has no interest in watching the rest, so it's mostly a matter of finding time where I can justify watching something on my own. That pretty much never happens, so I'm not sure I'll ever catch up! We'll see, though.

Fair enough! Would love to hear your thoughts on it if you do end up finishing.

    I think that's where I am?

I wish I liked Elektra more. I was most excited for her, but while I do like the performance and costume, I don't care for how they've written the character. Hopefully they keep her alive at the end and utilize her better in the future.

  10. I liked this moment. Didn't mind Felicity showing up, but it would've been more effective with him being alone.

Disappointed with that final fight between Arrow and former member of the LoA Darhk. Literally just punching each other in the face like a drunken bar fight. Remember that fight between Arrow and Slade that alternated between past and present. Man that was so great. I'll be back for next season. I'm hopeful that they'll see the criticism and adjust for the better.

The fight was SO bad. I really liked Darhk, but nothing about that ending was satisfying.

Also, I had sort of forgotten about how they edited that Slade fight. That was something. Back when the flashbacks actually added to the story...

  12. I still think that killing Sara in season 3 was the downfall of this show. She was a great connection to the League and they could've used that season's flashbacks to tell her side of the story while they come up with a better reason for the League attacking the city.

Definitely the most illogically stupid decision the showrunners ever made.

Forever bitter about that. At Wonder Con Guggenheim said that if Legends didn't get picked up, this season still would've told the stories of resurrecting Sara and finding Ray. Part of me wonders what a season spent focused on that would've looked like

I actually liked the finale, BUT: Barry started the flashpoint in the flash finalr, so this should change arrow's timeline completly too, right?

    S1 was merlin, 2 slade and 3? I forgot..was it the league?

  16. Truly horrific season. Goodbye Arrow. I'm bailing, what a complete disaster.

i was hoping they'd do that. :( imo legends isn't half as good as arrow or the flash (i still haven't bothered to watch the last 3 episodes of LOT) and it's pretty clear now that the show has negatively affected both of them...idk what they were thinking :/

i mean, if they want to be consistent then yes it should change, but i have a feeling that won't happen O_o it would get too confusing.

The last two episodes of LOT are the best of the season by far. I don't think LOT is better than peak Arrow or Flash but it's absolutely better than the last two seasons of Arrow in my opinion

This show seriously has a Felicity problem. Has a fan favorite ever become so annoying before? I can't think of one.

  23. Thank god Laurel got killed off to make space for the show to cast a another district attorney who's a vigilante at night. :eyeroll:

  24. Madison McLaughlin, who was the Black Canary impersonator, is coming back. Turns out she's Artemis.

Also, Chad Coleman was just cast as Tobias Church, a recurring villain. He's "an imposing gangster looking to unite the various criminal enterprises in Star City under his own singular command.”
