Looking very promising.

 

My wish: make it a final season, with 10 episodes, all around 25 minutes each. Make it feel like the first few seasons. Wrap it up and give it a great ending!

 

It probably became much cheaper when Michael Cera and Jason Bateman burned out as movie stars.

 

Bateman is still doing good, though.

 

Shows have been unrenewed before.

(But this is very promising)

 

Cera didn't really burn out, he just doesn't really act much anymore

 

He's in Twin Peaks!

 

I have still yet to watch season 4, despite the first 3 seasons being one of my favorite series ever. I never really heard/saw too many people speak highly of Season 4 and at the time, didn't have Netflix. Will definitely have to watch that soon.

 

Just know the first handful of episodes are going to be super weird and confusing. It comes together as it progresses

This is too good to be true. I keep waiting for the "lol jk" hammer to drop.

 

I'm excited but not jumping out of my chair excited like I was for all of the s4 release cycle. Not because I didn't like season 4, I did. But my expectations are just a lot lower/more reasonable this time.

 

watch the first two episodes be really funny and with the entire cast together and then the remaining episodes all with new actors playing their younger versions and it's awful

 

I genuinely hope they aren't actually going forward with that different actors flash back bullshit

 

Well, I think all resurrected series attempt to make it feel like the earlier seasons. It just rarely happens. I'm AD's case, it was the inability to get the cast together for an extended period of time that resulted in the single character episodes of season 4. I'm sure that had an impact on writing the whole season plot as taking place in a few days.

 

Yeah if the plan for season 5 is still for half of it to be a prequel with different actors, I have a lot of reservations

 

getting excited.

They should just have him report on actual current events and it wouldn't seem any more jokey then all his other appearances
