Backing this real quick, everyone go watch this (and Beginners). I remember seeing this in the theater and when it was over looking at everybody in my party and we were all in tears haha. On an AD related note, I probably should have rewatched season 4 before watching this cause I’m a little lost on the timeline. Does some of this take place during the same period as season 4 or am I just missing something?
Maeby was great, easy highlight of the season (1/2 season?) Kyle Mooney just being around then being revealed to be Tobias's son was a really great bit! The timeline on the season was very very confusing though. Have no clue how long a timeframe these episodes spanned
There’s just too much exposition. Same problem as season 4. I mean, just let the characters exist for a while instead of moving them around and introducing things every 2 minutes. Also Will Arnett does look bad, what happened? He looked great in Flaked s2
They all look older because five years has past since we've last seen these characters. I don't get why people keep commenting on it.
I'm down for discussion, but it's odd the amount of people commenting on the normal age progression of these people as if they were expecting they've been frozen in carbonite for the last five years.
I gotta say that the more I think about it, I love how they're handling GOB and his struggle to just admit he's gay. I can't wait to see what happens with Tony Wonder. I wonder if the concrete thing was planned by himself as a way to force GOB out of the closet and leave him there ashamed.
GOB looking like shit makes perfect sense given he's apparently been roofieing himself every day for like 5 years
I think my only problems with this season is Debrie and Marky Bark coming back. I almost universally didn't like them in season four.
Me neither but i think Marky only exists off-screen and flashbacks, debrie gets what, 3 minutes of total screentime?
I hope you're right about Marky, but Debrie could still hang around. I didn't want either in this at all, lol
