Very much feels like S4 part two. Does that make sense? Because I mean of course it should, but yeah.
Just finished episode 5. I've laughed a ton but it's definitely very...weird. While S4 had incredibly tight storytelling, things in this season just sort of happen. It might all tie together but the plot is kind of all over the place. It feels like they just lost interest in what S4 was setting up and abandoned it. Didn't S4 end with the cops finding Buster in Lucille 2's penthouse? In this he turns himself in because Michael tells him too? And Gob almost feels like a different character. Like he's coked up or something.
I think maybe a big problem with the last two seasons are just trying to do too much with a plot that is completely different than the original run. There are no self contained episodes. Seeing Michael walk back into the Bluth Offices made me nostalgic for when the show was really just about this family trying to keep a business afloat...and beat treason charges, I guess. And that sounds pretty negative when I can say I loved S4 and I've really enjoyed these first 5 episodes
Same. I'm surprised at how much I like Maebe. This is her best arc since when she was ditching school to be a producer.
Excited to get more into her storyline. I’m just finishing episode 2. I feel like Will Arnett forgot how to play Gob
