a send-off segment/episode for Lindsay excites me more than anything else so far probably, gonna be good
So they are sticking with the Lucille 2 murder mystery theme for this upcoming season? For some reason I assumed that had been scrapped. This is the 'making a murderer' satire they were discussing a few years back ???
I feel like they cant COMPLETELY abandon it. Even thouhg I wasnt a huge fan of the whole plot, Id be dissapointed if they just swept it under the rug completely. Also the show can definitely survive without Lindsay.
'Arrested Development' season 5 to be split in half Not a surprise but EW confirmed that the second set of episodes is also eight.
Yeah there are certain characters the show can't survive without (Lucille, Michael, etc.) but Lindsay is not one of them.
I may be a moron but can somebody explain the ongoing "Gob eats parmesan and mustard" joke in S4? What am I missing? I have figured out that Martin Mull played both Gene Parmesan and Colonel Mustard in Clue, is that the whole bit ? Seems like an odd bit to be a running gag.
I've also wondered this. Will Arnett is in the new TMNT movies and he's eating it in those as well. Lol
I thought it had something to do with the joke that it’s a stock kitchen on a TV set therefore not filled with actual food for eating.
The Martin Mull bit is the main gag there, along with a few passing references from GOB and Tobias that suggest they're eating it because they're too poor for actual food. There's a bit where Maebe starts to eat the parmesan and mustard before reminding herself she's rich.
hot take: I actually dislike the netflix "drop everything at once" style of things. The "you can watch them on your own time" thing is kinda bs given the internet and spoilers Of course, doing eight at once and eight later is also kinda dumb. Just give us an episode a week for 16 weeks so that way we all have time to enjoy it and discuss rather than try to watch everything all at once before you dare go online to talk about what just happened.
I'm so split on the dropping everything at once style. Sometimes it's overwhelming and stressful, but if it's something I love I fucking HATE waiting between episodes. There are shows that work better when binged. Original S4 NEEDED to be binged to work. The recut version was made for syndication/week-to-week viewing (which explains that absurd amount of recapping each episodes) but even I (a massive AD fan who watched the original airing and have probably seen every episode 15+ times) might have given up on S4 if it were a weekly show.
I'm fine with either them all dropping at once or once a week but splitting seasons in two is definitely my least favorite option and I hope it doesn't become a trend
Finally finished the remixed season four. I still like it, but the overall quality of humor isn't up to par with the first three seasons. I don't find anything about the Tobias/Debrie storyline funny and most of the George/Oscar stuff is also painful.
Tobias: You didn't tell me you had a drug problem. DeBrie: We met at a methadone clinic. Tobias: Are you high? We met at an acting class. The Method One...
started the remix last night after not touching season 4 since the weekend it dropped. it's very good.
I have just a few episodes left on the remix. I really like how Michael and George Michael’s stories start to intertwine. The whole scene where they’re playing voicemail tag about the traffic is hilarious.
