Just finished my first listen today. Always loved Hunters but it flows really perfectly here. Also the vocal melody on the last track is so damn good.
I can’t wait to hear what this sounds like now!! Whatever version Mal was passing around 3-4 years ago was so so good.
i remember being in a turntable.fm room with mal way back in the ap days and he turned me onto this song. a classic.
but in all honesty thank you all for taking the time to listen to this. its a testament of strength for me and i don't know where i'd be if i hadnt written about all the enduring difficulties of life. a lot of people have experienced these things and deal with the reverberations of violence that echo throughout the rest of their lives. that past is never just something that happened. i go to bed with it and wake up gasping. also fuck the justice system and the feeling that we'd have to kill our abusers to find peace. we shouldnt have to feel these ways anymore.
This album is really fantastic. It’s awesome to watch an artist, someone you know, grow with each release and be better. This is definitely a top ten of the year for me.
brian really just gets it. i love him. his piece on the album is amazing.im so happy i teared a little tear reading it. its just so dope to feel heard and understood like this.
