Also, what determined whether you were a normal zombie or turned into alpha zombies? Or were all zombies inside the zone alpha zombies?

I'm pretty sure they said you turn into an alpha when bitten by another alpha, but that makes no sense because then everyone would be one

If you were bitten by the main alpha from the first scene, you’re an alpha. If you’re bitten by any other zombie you’re just a plain ole zombie

 

Ohh ok, that definitely makes more sense

 

But how do you get "plain ole zombie", if Zombie #1 was the Zeus or whatever? If he was the first and an alpha, then theoretically all zombies in the city would be Alpha zombies

 

Zeus has to bite you to become an Alpha. If any of those other zombies holding the security guard in the pool bit him he would just be a regular zombie.

 

So Zeus bit all those zombies at the pool area, making them alphas? Ehhhhh I don't know
