"In August 2020, Tig Notaro was announced to replace [Chris] D'Elia, who was cut from the film due to sexual misconduct allegations. Notaro will be inserted into the film through a combination of reshooting scenes opposite an acting partner and also using digital compositing to insert her into the scene."

    lol, nice.

I'm all for a Zombie movie taking place in some well lit neon, as opposed to whatever grey/brown shit filter TWD has had.

Looks more or less like a television budget Zack Snyder film.

The lack of Dave Bautista in the teaser was a bummer. I like him a lot & think he'll be the deciding factor in if I'm into this or not.

This looks awfully colorful for Snyder.

    Stoked on it.

I just... if the world is a post-apocalyptic wasteland and the zombies outnumber the humans to the extent this trailer implies... why do you need to rob a casino?

    Is it just for fun!?

I’m gonna watch this and the plot will probably make more sense but right now it seems very silly

"Casino heist during zombie apocalypse" is a fun enough concept that I don't really need to think too hard about whatever deeper in world implications that may have, lol. Sure, some version of economy still exists in segments of this world, why not? Outside of character-driven explanations ("pay off debts," "money to save daughter," etc.), I don't care.

One thing I'm very curious about is how the more flamboyant elements in the trailer play out in the film. Snyder's track record with masculinity, queer coding, etc., leaves a lot to be desired, to say the least, lol. I don't need this type of film to be perfectly "unproblematic" to be enjoyable, but I do hope he's at least matured enough in that area to not make me uncomfortable.

If it's zombies I'm always in. To date I've only found one zombie thing I've disliked and it was a horribly written book that I have no idea how it got published.

Even The Dead Don't Die which was just weird I enjoyed so lol

Am I excited to see a Zack Snyder movie?

  14. Definitely more excited about this than I thought I would be. I’m not huge on zombie movies to be honest but adding in the heist element seems like a nice little twist.

  25. Yeah, and she's replacing Chris D'Elia, which rules extra hard

This doesn't have the benefit of being written by James Gunn, but goddamn is Dawn of the Dead 2004 a great zombie flick. I'm optimistic about this. Just looking for a good time
