I hadn’t listened to this band before There’s a whole world, which I absolutely loved and replayed the shit out of. But damn, that audiotree release was not great. It was bad. Was that an accurate reputation of their live performance?
Not at all. I thought the Audio tree was pretty rough for Alan’s vocals, but live they are much better. Band definitely is a bit heavier live than recorded, but they put on a very good show.
Thought they were good opening for Silverstein. Kind of eh during the small venue run right as there’s a whole world was coming out (last summer, I guess) and they were excellent this past spring
Dammit this is twice now their date coming through my city won't work for me. Saw them at the Wax Bodega tour but I need to see this album's songs live.
Yeah I can’t believe they actually released that. Alan sounds so bad especially with his voice cracking all over the place lol
Seen them twice. Thursday tour they were okay as an opener, didn't love the set. Absolutely loved them when I saw them a couple months ago on the headline. Sounded great. Yeah the audio tree is rough but it happens.
Not familiar with any other bands on the bill. Any recommendations. They are playing a pretty big venue (for the Lehigh Valley). The same size Hot Mulligan headlined. Betting it’s gonna get moved to the smaller one
holding absence is probably my favorite band going right now. i would start w their latest singles and the noble art of self destruction. they have some killer standalone singles too (aching longing/gravity/birdcage) lucas has one of the best voices in music right now so i hope you enjoy checking out their catalog! with bloom i'd start with their latest as well. they have yet to put out music i dislike but the new album is far and away their strongest. house & home i'm gonna deep dive on later this week so i don't have any recs for them right now lmao
HA’s song Lucid Love is one of my favorite songs of the year so far, but I wouldn’t call it indicative of the rest of their discog. Their album NAOSD is great though, I’d start there
