Armor For Sleep on reunion tour, new music, New Jersey roots and more

I don't know if it's been mentioned here yet, but Nash isn't drumming for this tour. My buddy sent them a DM on instagram asking why, and they said that Nash isn't vaccinated and too many venues require proof of vaccination.

Shocked that they were so blunt with their answer and didn't try and make up some fake excuse. Also very disappointing to hear that Nash is anti vax.

 

Sounds like ben wants to write stuff that doesn't really sound like Armor For Sleep (TM). I'm definitely interested in hearing what they'd write today, but I bet whatever they end up doing, it will be pretty polarizing, if they go down a different path.

 

Yeah I know it has been so long since we last got new material from them so it's hard to comprehend what will sound like but I'd really like a modern AFS album that still stays true to who they are.

 

I assumed they had plans for a new album since they keep teasing clips on instagram.

 

Damn. That sucks Nash is anti-vax but good on the band for not bringing him on tour.

 

Ben’s been teasing new music for a while so I’m not surprised - I just hope I really like it whenever it does arrive.

Anyways; I’m flying out to Pomona this weekend just to see them at Glasshouse. Stoked!

Streets saying something is coming in September, not sure if that’s the full album or a single.

 

Wild. Never expected to get new material from these guys but I’m stoked as hell.

 

I try not to expect comeback albums to be any good but it would be so cool if this was.

 

I remember Ben confirming a new material but didn’t know if it would be a whole full length so that’s coooooool

So pumped they are opening the DC/AM show. Haven’t seen them since they opened at one of Straylight Runs first shows at Knitting Factory. I have a distinct memory of them throwing money into the crowd during one of the songs.

 

Damn. New Armor For Sleep AND new Cartel! All that’s left is The Starting Ling needing to drop new tunes!
