Damn, this is exciting. I know WTDWYAD is a huge fan favorite, but I loved Smile For Them. Reminds me a lot of my time in LA in 2008. That album and Paper Walls by Yellowcard.
While I’m not that big of a fan of Smile - I do still love Run Right Back In, Stars In Your Eyes, and Lullaby. I like Chemicals and My Saving Grace too - I just wish they were lyrically stronger. Edit: Hold The Door is also a jam.
Run right back in and saving Grace are my easy favorites and the only ones I still seek out, but still some solid tracks on there. I hope the comeback record really gives us something fresh though. Some of the comebacks revisit old sounds really nicely and feels great for a month but it often diminishes the lasting value
I just realized that my tickets for the San Francisco date on the WTDWYD tour is the same day I fly out for Furnace Fest. Which is the day before the festival so it’s not like I can reschedule really, I’m so incredibly bummed after getting tickets 17 months ago… ugh Here’s to hoping they either reschedule again (don’t hate me) or some really well shot full set videos get uploaded to YouTube.
yeah, I love this band but they rescheduled for a Sunday and I moved away from the city since. Originally, it was scheduled for when my fiancée was going to be away, so I didn't buy her a ticket and was planning on meeting up with friends afterwards Now I'm not sure if I feel like traveling down to the city on a Sunday night, alone, and I definitely don't feel like buying her one since she could care less about them
Listening to Dream To Make Believe last night, I do think it is my favourite. Slip Like Space doesn't really feel like a closer but I really like that track.
saw them play a ton of those songs when they opened up for….wait for it….The Plain White T’s at the Metro in Chicago years ago haha.
Everyone seems to like What To Do When You Are Dead the most but honestly Dream is my favorite album of theirs.
Does anyone remember Ben’s post-AFS solo EP? I randomly put it on today while going through a bunch of old music I have saved on a hard drive. It’s not too bad.
I remember it! I was really excited for that to come out back in like 2010 I think it was? It's still in my iTunes library.
I do yeah. I also sorta remember him having an electronic influenced project with a female vocalist too or have I got that wrong?
I feel like this band dropped off the face of the earth at some point but based off this shit, I'm assuming they are touring soon?
I loved that solo EP! Yep, you’re thinking of God Loves A Challenge. always had a soft spot for deer in the headlights
